Refund and Returns Policy
At Safari Flies, we are dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help. Please read our refund and returns policy below, which applies to purchases made through our website. This policy is in effect for customers worldwide, and it adheres to our operational guidelines in both the UK and Kenya.
Overview
Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days from the date of purchase. If more than 30 days have passed since your purchase, we unfortunately cannot offer a full refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging.
Non-returnable items include:
- Gift cards
- Downloadable products
- Customised or personalised items
- Perishable goods (e.g. bait)
- Certain health and personal care items
Please note: Do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer. Instead, follow the instructions provided below to initiate a return.
Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be granted in the following situations:
- Any item not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts due to reasons not caused by us.
- Items returned more than 30 days after delivery.
- Any product showing obvious signs of use.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you via email about the status of your refund. If approved, the refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within a specified number of days.
If your refund is delayed or missing, please take the following steps:
- Check your bank account again.
- Contact your credit card company, as it may take some time for the refund to officially post.
- Contact your bank, as there is often a processing period before a refund appears.

Sale Items
Only regular-priced items are eligible for a refund. Sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, send us an email at info@safariflies.com and ship the item to 33 Great George Street, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 3AJ. Once received and inspected, we will process your exchange.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of the return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be sent to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift, or if the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves, we will send the refund to the gift giver.

You are responsible for paying the return shipping costs, which are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on your location, the time required for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
For higher-value items, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item without a trackable service.
